9010 – Out of memory; cannot claim more

may be interesting for some other folks as well; it’s too easy to have a nice pile of mem-eaters.

Hi,

memory is not only the filesize of the frm, but all data you need for histlists etc.

If you have a lot of “open” instances (services, …), you will run out of memory.

$detachedinstances may help you on that

Check that you close instances you no longer need
or at least that your CLEAR the hitlists after processing.

Success, Uli

Hi Uli,

Hope you are fine J , need your small help in uniface.

While running a form in the application I am getting error while newinstance creation as shown below.
the compiled forms is around 116kb which doesn’t seem to be very high as there are other forms which are having more size then this one and still working fine.

Do you have any idea about how to trace this one? I tried everything but nothing is working.

(EXEC) RUN_SCHEMA:3  $ALIAS$ = 1
(EXEC) RUN_SCHEMA:4  newinstance “%%$OPTION$”, “%%$OPTION$”
