Description

Currently the state of an application is stored in the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Compuware\\Uniface\\USYS9\\state\\{STARTUP_SHELL} If would be useful (see Use Case) to be able to specify a different final key for the application in either the command line, the asn file or even proc code.

Use Case

Where there are several versions of an application, with (for example) grid widget components with new or different columns, all active on one machine, the layout state information can get very confused. Similarly, when the application is used on (for example) a laptop, where the laptop screen and an attached external screen are of different form sizes (\'normal\' vs \'widescreen\') and best resolutions than each other, stored states can wind up with forms being unmanageable,.
