LDAP Connector

The Uniface LDAP connector enables you to connect with LDAP servers, including stand-alone LDAP servers and X.500 Directory System Agents with an LDAP gateway installed.

Reading, writing and searching actions are fully supported, within the limitations of the LDAP protocol.

The connection is established using information stored in the .asn file. Authentication details (user name and password) can also be located in the .asn file.

Once the connection has been established, the following actions are possible:

  • Perform LDAP operations and obtain results
  • Create, update or delete entries in the LDAP database
  • Read or search based on input parameters
  • Close the connection

Requirements for LDP on Linux

On Linux, as of LDP 2.0, the connector requires the RPM package openldap-2.2.13-7.4E to be installed, because the connector depends on the shared object libldap-2.2.so.7, which is provided by this package.
