Deploying Applications

To deploy a Uniface application you need to package the Uniface resources into one or more Uniface deployment archive (UAR) files. You can then distribute these files to the appropriate locations in the infrastructure, and edit configuration files to ensure that Uniface runtime executables and servers can find them.

Uniface applications can be deployed into environments that include different hardware, operating systems, networks, servers, and databases. The Uniface middleware mediate between all these parts of the deployment environment.

Configuration settings specified in assignment files, initialization files, and command line switches ensure that Uniface can locate the application data and resources and execute them appropriately.

The documentation in this collection describes how to distribute and deploy Uniface applications in the Uniface runtime environment in different deployment environments.
