Issue 30947  —   SOP U2.0: the authentication scheme Negotiate is not implemented as documented

Status:   Solved in 10.2.01

Solution available in patch(es):      MX07    G101

Description:

 Summary:
SOP U2.0: the authentication scheme N (Negotiate) is not implemented as
documented: when accessing a Web Service using the Negotiate scheme (Kerberos
or Negotiate/SPNEGO Authentication), the authentication fails and the HTTP
 error 401 (unauthorized) is returned.

 Environment:
 +Uniface: Version 9.x
 +Operating System: OS independent
 +Database: DBMS independent
 +Additional: SOP U2.0 connector

 Symptoms:
According to the documentation the SOP connector supports the authentication
schemes B (Basic), D (Digest), L (NTLM), and N (Negotiate).

However, when a Web Service using the Negotiate scheme (Kerberos or
Negotiate/SPNEGO Authentication) is accessed, the authentication
fails and the HTTP error 401 (unauthorized) is returned.

Expectation: the SOP U2.0 connector should support the Negotiate scheme as
 documented.

Workaround:

There is no known workaround for this problem.
