Issue 30979 — Popup form not always positioned correctly to its anchor field
Status: Solved in 10.2.01
Solution available in patch(es): MX07 G101
Description:
Summary: Uniface: A popup form is not always positioned correctly to its anchor field. Problems can occur when (e.g.) using horizontal/vertical split bars (attached to the bottom/right window border) or when the application window is moved. Environment: +Uniface: Version 9.6.xx +Operating System: All Windows versions +Database: DBMS independent Symptoms: A popup form is not always positioned correctly to its anchor field. The relative position is not correct when (e.g.) the form with the anchor field includes a horizontal split bar that is attached to the bottom or a vertical split bar that is attached to the right window border, and the anchor field is located below (vertical) or to the right of the (horizontal) split bar. When the form is maximized then popup form is not moving with its anchor field. Another problem can be seen when the application window is moved: the popup form will not be moved relative to its anchor field, but stays at its place. When the form with the anchor field is moved then the popup form will move with its anchor field.
Workaround:
There is no known workaround for this problem.
Notes:
Behavior change for popup forms which are too big to fit the screen in their default position. A popup which does not fit the screen will be clipped by that same screen. In previous versions of Uniface the popup was centered on the screen and by this disconnecting from its anchor field. Behavior change popup with title bar: When a popup form has a title bar it will not move with the anchor. The anchor is used to start the popup form in a defined position, after this the end-user can drag the form away. Moving the anchor or the originating form will not alter the position of the popup form with title bar. ; ;
