Issue 31910  —   Assigning asterisk to Uniface button with type "Image (Glyph)" can cause crash

Status:   Planned for resolution in 10.4.01

Solution available in patch(es):      10.3.02.032    9.7.05.045

Description:

 Summary:
 Assigning an asterisk ('*') to the value of a Command button with the style
 "Uniface" and the data type "Image (glyph)" can cause a crash.

 Environment:
 +Uniface:
 * All Versions

 +Operating System:
 * OS independent

 +Database:
 * DBMS independent

 Symptoms:
 When the value of a Uniface button with the data type "Image (glyph)" contains
 an asterisk ('*') then this can cause a crash. The asterisk is interpreted by
 Uniface as a profile character and depending on how many glyphs match the
 provided profile this can cause a buffer overflow.

Workaround:

 There is no known workaround for this problem.
